Sometimes it feels like this mouse just picks up on small quirks in my finger's motion that other mice can't. I do kinda wonder though: I also noticed it's WAY more sensitive than any scrolling wheel i've ever used, even on the lowest settings. Didn't even hear about this until I noticed it myself when I used my new MX for a few minutes. now you only notice when you scroll back and forth really quick it can sometimes jump a bit, but in actual use I dont scroll like that so its not an issue. The biggest thing for me is it completely fixed the issue of it just randomly dropping scrolling. I still wouldnt say its totally on par with the 2S or original, but id say its like 95% of the way there which is good enough for me. Dont know if I just happened to get a better unit, but the scroll tracking is way better. You can try suggestions here but I found none of them worked.ĮDIT 2** I recently purchased the MX master 3S and the issues I was having are pretty much fixed.

There is no workaround or software update that will fix it for most people. As far as we can tell this is just how the mouse is.

Thoughts? (I'm on a mac book pro using the USB receiver)ĮDIT** I have talked to many people and customer support many times. When i use the original MX master on the same computer i have no issues and i can scroll up and down really quickly and it tracks my scroll super accurately. Is it worth it to try to get a replacement MX master 3 or should i return it?
#Smart scroll gone full#
Is this just a side effect of this new magnetic scrolling mechanism? or do i have a defective unit? it doesn't happen all the time but its frequent enough where there's no way i could use this mouse full time. It doesn't track the scroll accurately and it just starts jumping back and forth. Its also super apparent when you scroll up and down quickly. I would say around 3-5% of the time i scroll the wheel, nothing happens and i have to scroll again to get it to pick up. It seems the Mx master 3 is way less accurate at tracking my scrolling than the original MX master. I felt triumphant," she said of the experience. Only weeks after her return, she hiked with her family to the camp where Mitchell had taken her nine months before. Remarkably, Smart managed to return to a relatively normal life shortly after rejoining her family.
